My name is Nathan Garner. I am the Assistant Principal at Cumberland County Middle School. This is my 12th year in education and my 7th year as an assistant principal in Cumberland County School District. I graduated from Cumberland County High School in 2003. I received my bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University in the field of Exceptional Education. I completed my Master’s degree from The University of the Cumberlands in Educational Leadership. I continued my education and received my Rank 1 in Director of Special Education at the University of Cumberlands. Prior to my current position, I was a special needs teacher at Edmonton Elementary in Metcalfe Co. and Clinton County Middle School.
I am married to Lindsey Garner, and have two little girls. My oldest daughter, Baylee, is nine and Charley is six. We also have a dog named Sam that is part of our family.
I truly feel honored to be able to work in such a great school as Cumberland County Middle School. Cumberland County Middle is a school filled with highly skilled teachers who truly care about their students. Our school is truly “One Big Family” as our school motto suggests.
My Personal Mission:
I want to be a father that my girls are proud to call dad!
I want to be a husband that my wife loves to be around!
I want to be a son that makes my parents smile!
I want to be a teacher that makes the future brighter for their students!
I want to be a leader!
