What is it?

The CCES 21st Century SMILE Learning Center is designed for elementary school students and their families. The project is a collaborative effort of Cumberland County Schools and the Cooperative Extension Service/4-H Youth Development.  The program provides academic assistance, enriching learning experiences, positive social interactions and recreational activities in a safe, healthy environment during out–of–school hours.  The SMILE Learning Center is funded through a grant by the Kentucky Department of Education.

 

Program Hours of Operation

 

Before School

Weekdays 6:30 – 7:30 AM- Homework Help and computers

 

After School: 

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 2:45 – 5:15 PM.   A new set of classes are offered each 9 weeks of school. An Enrollment Form is available for students to select classes and get their parents signature to give permission to attend the class. Students will be offered a nutritional snack each day at 2:45 PM.

 

Classes will be offered Fall, Spring, and Summer breaks
